Best Cricket Shoes I’ve Tested: ASICS, Nike & Puma Review 2026
I still remember my first pair of cricket shoes – It was rubber spikes, lightweight, stiff, and gave me blisters before my spell was over. Since then, I’ve used over a dozen pairs to find the best cricket shoes that actually improve performance.

I know many of you are confused about selecting cricket shoes that match your role, whether you are a batsman, bowler, or wicketkeeper.
So, in this blog, I’m going to help you select a cricket shoe that matches your talent and help you succeed.
NOTE: Cricket shoes alone can’t help you to succeed; you have to be true to your practice and your game.
Just like choosing the right cricket bat or protective gloves, the right shoes can transform your game.
And you can also look at some Rules and Regulations given by ICC by clicking here
Although I’m giving reference from my own experience, as I’m a All-Rounder with left-arm spin as primary, for fast bowling I took help from my friends who are playing for State and Ranji Trophy.
What Makes The Best Cricket Shoes?
- Traction (spikes vs. rubber soles)
- Ankle support
- Cushioning & comfort
- Weight
- Durability
- Price vs. value
The type of spikes you need depends on the pitch conditions. According to ICC Playing Conditions, certain spike types are regulated for player safety and pitch protection.
